I’m a bit obsessed with lip care — dry, chapped lips drive me crazy. I keep lip products everywhere (desk, car, bathroom, purse, next to the bed) so I’m never caught without something on hand. Soft, kissable lips are something we all want, right?

4 Simple Tips for Super-Soft, Kissable Lips

I’m sharing a few of my favorite tips for super-soft lips and one must-have this winter: Burt’s Bees Lip Butters.

Burt’s Bees Lip Butters have been a lifesaver for me. They’re 100% natural and made with responsibly sourced shea butter to keep lips hydrated with a soft sheen. They work well for all-day moisture, and you can layer them under or over lipstick. I love the botanical flavors:
– Limited-Edition Vanilla Clove: comforting vanilla with a warm clove twist.
– Lavender & Honey: my go-to bedtime scent — calming and soothing.
– Orange & Pistachio: bright and cheery — reminds me of summer; my most-used flavor.
– Rosemary & Lemon: energizing, great for a midday aromatherapy pick-me-up.

With natural ingredients, responsible sourcing, and an easy-to-open, recyclable tin, this eco-conscious mom is a fan. You can find them at your local Ulta or online at ulta.com.

My top tips for ultra-smooth, soft lips:

1. Lip Scrub
Once or twice a week I do a lip scrub to remove dry skin and reveal smooth lips. You can buy one or make your own. A few simple DIY mixes:
– Sugar + honey
– Sugar + coconut oil
– Honey + brown sugar + coconut oil
Mix sugar with the other ingredient about 1:1, gently rub onto lips (or use an old toothbrush), rinse, and finish with Burt’s Bees Lip Butter for lightweight, creamy moisture.

2. Keep Moisturized
Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. Winter weather, wind, and indoor heat dry out lips fast. Apply balm before going outside, at bedtime, and even under lipstick. Burt’s Bees Lip Butters feel lightweight and never greasy or sticky, so they’re great under or over lipstick.

3. Drink Water
Hydration matters for your whole body — including your lips. Most of us don’t drink enough water (coffee doesn’t count). Drinking more water helps your skin glow and keeps lips plump.

4. Lip Masks
Don’t forget lip masks. They give a big moisture boost and are perfect when your lips need extra care.

Do you often battle dry lips? Which Burt’s Bees Lip Butter would you like to try?

I recently received a box of great products from brands at ShiftCon 2018 to try and review. They included health and beauty items, wholesome snacks, a SCOBY to make my own kombucha, and more. Here are a few of my favorites my family and I have been enjoying this past month.

NeoCell Super Collagen
Remember the bone broth trend? Collagen offers many of the same benefits and can help improve skin, hair, tendons, bones, and joints. Our bodies make a lot less collagen after about age 25, so a supplement can be a helpful boost. NeoCell Super Collagen is unflavored and mixes easily into hot or cold drinks—I like adding it to my afternoon coffee or smoothies.

Top Natural Health & Beauty Picks for April

Ona Functional Fuel Plant Protein Bars
These are delicious and made with simple, natural ingredients. Ona bars are grain-free, dairy-free, soy-free, contain no refined sugars, and are full of healthy fats, fiber, probiotics, and clean ingredients like coconut, nuts, and plant proteins. I grab one before or after a workout. They’re the first bar I’ve seen with probiotics to support gut health, which is a big plus.

Earth Mama Organics Natural Deodorant
I’ve been searching for a natural deodorant for a while because I don’t like some of the questionable ingredients in mainstream products, like aluminum. I tried Earth Mama Organics Natural Deodorant this past week (Bright Citrus is my favorite) and I’m really impressed. It contains no propylene glycol, artificial fragrances, parabens, or aluminum. I’ve used other Earth Mama products before and loved them, so I’m glad to have another one I can trust. It keeps odor in check—even during sweaty hot yoga—and I haven’t had any irritation.

Betsy’s Best Almond Butter with Cinnamon and Chia Seeds
This almond butter is fantastic. Betsy’s Best has unique, gourmet flavors and a great texture—not fully smooth or crunchy, but a satisfying mix from the seeds and add-ins. The mix of almonds with cinnamon, chia seeds, Himalayan pink salt, and organic honey is perfect by the spoonful, on toast, with apple slices, or drizzled over oatmeal or smoothies.

Kombucha Kamp SCOBY
After our trip to San Diego we got hooked on kombucha on tap. Buying it every day gets expensive, so when Kombucha Kamp (a top kombucha shop) offered to send a SCOBY to make our own, I jumped at the chance. Kombucha is rich in probiotics, has the benefits of tea, antioxidants, and more. We haven’t brewed ours yet, but their website has lots of helpful info and everything you need to get started. At roughly $4 a bottle retail, buying a SCOBY for $25 is a more budget-friendly option. We’ll start ours this week (brewing takes about 7 to 30 days depending on taste), so follow along on my Instagram to see how it goes.

Spring is nearly here, which means spring and summer travel plans are coming up too. Traveling can be stressful, especially when you have limited packing space and strict rules to follow. One of the hardest parts for me is deciding which toiletries and makeup to bring and how to pack them so nothing breaks or leaks.

How to Pack the Perfect Travel Beauty Bag

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve arrived somewhere only to open my makeup bag and find a favorite $50 eyeshadow palette smashed or a hair product leaked all over my clothes. It’s the worst. Over the years I’ve learned a few tips to keep your packing organized and your items safe and spill-free.

Use facial towelettes instead of face washes
I love Equate Fragrance Free Makeup Remover Towelettes when I travel. I even keep a pack in my car and gym bag for quick refreshes or nights when I’m too tired for a full skincare routine. When I travel, I try to avoid liquids that might spill. The Equate wipes from Walmart (beauty or cosmetics aisle) are inexpensive (under $5 where I shop) and made with essential oils and 99% natural ingredients. They remove all makeup, even waterproof mascara, and are perfect for wiping down grimy airplane tray tables or sticky toddler hands. Their versatility makes them a must-have.

Make a list
This sounds basic, but without a list I always forget something. A few days before a trip, I write down the beauty products and toiletries I’ll need. I think about the events and activities I’ll be doing and plan my looks from there. Often I take the list into the bathroom while I get ready and add anything I use. Then I check items off when I pack so I don’t forget last-minute things like my toothbrush.

Skip the brushes
I love my makeup brushes, but I usually leave them at home when I travel. Brushes can be bulky and the bristles can get damaged. I use q-tips, sponges, and my fingers to apply makeup on the go.

Pack multi-purpose products
Many beauty items can serve more than one purpose, which is great for saving space. Look for palettes that can do day and night looks. Lipstick can double as blush, and some facial sprays work as setting sprays too.

Limit liquids
TSA rules limit the liquids you can carry, and packing fewer liquids also cuts down the risk of spills and keeps your bag lighter. You can bring a quart-sized bag of liquids, aerosols, gels, creams, and pastes in containers of 3.4 ounces (100 ml) or less. Instead of full-size cleansers, bring wipes. Swap full-size hair products for travel sizes or samples. Skip big perfume bottles and take rollers or samples instead—I have tons from past Ipsy bags.

Use clear bags
I separate dry and liquid items for quick checks. Once I reach my destination, I put everything into a clear makeup bag or plastic bag so I can easily find what I need.

Cushion compacts
There’s nothing worse than opening your bag and finding a crushed compact or palette. To protect compacts and eyeshadows, tuck a few makeup pads or cotton balls between them for extra cushioning.

I can’t believe 2020 is almost over and Christmas is right around the corner. I’m finishing up my shopping and the only thing left are stocking stuffers. Every year I do my big shopping early, then panic a few days before Christmas because I forgot the stockings! This year I’m determined to be done early so I can enjoy the season stress-free.
For stocking stuffers I like small, affordable, fun items that actually fit in a stocking. I often choose self-care, beauty, and health products because they’re compact, useful, and a great way to introduce someone to something new. Who doesn’t love a little extra TLC?
Our family has been switching to products with more natural ingredients, so grabbing Burt’s Bees holiday favorites was an obvious choice. I’ve been a Burt’s Bees fan for years and love giving their products as gifts. They use ingredients from nature, don’t test on animals, are responsibly sourced, and use recyclable packaging. It feels good to give skin and lip care that’s gentle on skin, kind to the environment, and made with people in mind. With so many options, gift giving is easy and everyone wins.
I picked up lots of Burt’s Bees stocking stuffers at Walmart on my last grocery run. You can buy them in store or online (Walmart.com offers free shipping on orders over $35). There were plenty of options under $15, so gifting this year is both easy and affordable. The holiday packs include lip care in festive flavors, skincare sets with lotion and lip balm (I love the strawberry set), hand cream trios, and kissable color lip shimmers. There’s something for everyone—women, men, kids, grandparents—at a great price and super convenient to buy at Walmart or Walmart.com.
I grabbed a pack for everyone on my list and know they’ll be used and loved. The kids always go for the lip balms (especially in cold weather) and I’m treating my husband to the ultra-hydrating hand cream trio. I may have sneaked one for myself too—I can’t resist the kissable color products.
Other inexpensive stocking stuffer ideas I love:
– Favorite candy
– Salty snacks: nuts, jerky, trail mix
– Bath loofahs
– Manicure items
– Fun pens or pencils
– Portable phone power bank
– Gum or breath mints
– Face masks
– Card games
– Mini toys for kids (Play-Doh, silly putty, building blocks, slime)
– Magazine
– Phone cases or mounts
– Socks
– Wallets
– Jewelry
– Scrunchies and hair ties
– Reusable makeup pads or wipes
Don’t forget to pick up Burt’s Bees at Walmart or walmart.com.

Stocking Stuffers Under $15

This post is sponsored by Milan Laser Hair Removal. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I hate shaving. I’d rather put on pants than shorts just to skip the razor. Between the time it takes and my super sensitive skin—razor burn, ingrown hairs, and that smooth feeling disappearing after a day or two—shaving is a real pain.

The Complete Guide to Laser Hair Removal

So when Milan Laser Hair Removal invited me to try their services, I was excited. They focus only on laser hair removal and offer an unlimited package for long-lasting results. With summer coming, I wanted to get started early and enjoy a no-shave, hair-free season. I booked a consultation right away, dreaming of throwing on a swimsuit without worrying about prickly legs or bikini-line issues.

Below I’m sharing my experience and answers to the common questions I had about Milan Laser’s laser hair removal.

How does laser hair removal work, and does it hurt?
First, you have a free consultation. The staff talk with you one-on-one about your needs, show a helpful video explaining the process, and answer any questions. They made me feel comfortable and walked me through everything—how the laser feels, how to prepare, and possible side effects.

Treatments are done by trained medical professionals using FDA-cleared lasers that are adjusted for different skin tones and hair colors. The laser targets the hair follicle and delivers a pulse that damages the root so the hair won’t grow back. Most people see smooth, stubble-free results after 7 to 10 treatments, usually spaced about five weeks apart.

For my first session, the provider recommended I shave beforehand and avoid lotion in the area. I put on a robe and protective goggles, and they treated my bikini area—my worst shaving spot. The pulses felt like little rubber-band snaps, but the machine has a cooling spray that makes it much more comfortable. It was far less painful than waxing.

My treatment took about 10 minutes. There was no downtime—just a bit of redness that faded within an hour and no lingering pain. About a week later I noticed hair starting to fall out naturally (a gentle exfoliation helps). After that first session I already had roughly 50% less regrowth.

Where can you remove hair?
Laser works on many areas of the body, including:
– Legs
– Underarms
– Bikini or Brazilian
– Upper lip and chin
– Back and shoulders
– Abdomen
– Feet
– Neck
And more—set up a consult to discuss your specific areas.

How long do treatments take?
Some sessions can be as quick as 10 minutes, depending on the area. Most people achieve about 95% hair reduction within 7 to 10 treatments. I’ve had two sessions so far and feel like more than half of my unwanted hair is gone. It worked faster than I expected.

What I love about Milan is their unlimited packages. That means you can get as many treatments as you need for a lifetime—no extra fees for touch-ups later if hormonal changes cause new growth. Once you pay, you’re covered for touch-ups and maintenance for life.

How much does it cost?
Cost varies by area treated, but Milan’s pricing is competitive and reasonable—especially with the lifetime coverage of the unlimited plan. Their website has all the pricing and process details to help you decide.

Why choose Milan Laser Hair Removal?
Milan focuses only on laser hair removal, so they’ve perfected the process for great results and a comfortable experience. I’m already thrilled with my progress after two treatments and can’t wait to see the final results. Summer swimsuit season will be so much easier.

To learn more or to schedule a consultation, check Milan’s website and find the clinic nearest you from their 70+ locations.

Have you ever thought about laser hair removal?

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Spring & Vine. All opinions are 100% mine.

One big goal for me this year is switching to more natural and responsible beauty products. It’s been gradual, but I’ve replaced most of my skincare and am slowly finding better hair care options. One of my favorite recent discoveries is Spring & Vine shampoo bars. I’m sharing my experience switching to shampoo bars, plus tips for using them and what to know if you want to ditch the bottle.

Switching to Shampoo Bars: Everything You Need to Know

Shampoo bars might feel new to many of us, but they’ve actually been around for years. They were common in the 1950s before plastic bottles took over, and now they’re getting attention again because they’re more sustainable and eco-friendly. A few months ago I did an “empties” post and was shocked at how much plastic I’d used up in a month. That pushed me to speed up my clean beauty and eco-friendly changes and try shampoo bars.

I’ve been using Spring & Vine shampoo bars for a few weeks and they’re now my go-to. The brand was started by a woman in the beauty industry who wanted better clean hair care options. Spring & Vine bars are made with PETA-certified cruelty-free and vegan ingredients and come in minimal packaging to reduce waste. They’re also convenient to buy since they’re available exclusively at Target and Target.com.

The bars are made with shea butter and essential oils to leave hair clean, healthy, and moisturized. There are four blends to choose from (scalp soothing is my favorite for dry skin):
– Volumizing – Grapefruit & Rosemary
– Moisturizing 2-in-1 – Oatmeal
– Scalp Soothing – Tea Tree & Mint
– Balanced Clean – Lavender & Orange Blossom

After using liquid shampoos for years, switching to a bar took a little getting used to. The first time felt strange, but after experimenting I found they’re easy to use, lather well, and leave hair smooth and clean.

How to use
There are two main ways to use a shampoo bar:
– Create lather in your hands: Wet your hair and scalp, rub the bar between your hands to make lather, massage the lather into your scalp, then use your hands to work it through your hair. Rinse thoroughly.
– Use the bar directly on your hair: Wet your hair and scalp, gently run the bar along your scalp and down your hair from roots to ends to avoid tangles. Work each section until a thick lather forms (add a bit of water if needed). Massage, then rinse well.

I prefer running the bar directly on my scalp and moving the lather through my hair from roots to ends. It creates a nice, thick lather that rinses out easily.

Why switch to shampoo bars
– More sustainable: Using bars helps cut plastic. Spring & Vine says their bars use up to 95% less plastic and up to 90% less water in packaging and production.*
– Concentrated formula: One bar lasts as long as a 12.6-ounce bottle of shampoo. To make yours last, keep it on a well-draining soap dish and out of direct shower spray.
– Travel friendly: Bars don’t leak and won’t count toward TSA liquid limits.
– Cruelty-free and natural: Spring & Vine bars are PETA-certified cruelty-free and vegan, and they skip sulfates, parabens, silicones, dyes, phthalates, mineral oils, and synthetic fragrances. They use essential oils instead of synthetic fragrances, which is gentler on hair and better for the environment.

This homemade moisturizing honey face mask is quick to make and leaves skin feeling soft, hydrated, and radiant. It uses simple, natural pantry ingredients—a gentle, affordable way to treat your skin.

After the cooler months I noticed my skin needed a little extra care. Dry air, stress, and lack of sleep left it dull, congested, and dehydrated. I love creating DIY skincare in my kitchen to help restore that healthy glow.

Homemade Honey Face Mask for Radiant, Deeply Hydrated Skin

For more tips on radiant skin, check out my post “How To Get Glowing Skin” on The Find by Zulily.

I prefer a more natural beauty routine—many masks are expensive and full of questionable ingredients. This hydrating mask uses only a few natural items and gives great results. Manuka honey is especially powerful: while I enjoy it in recipes, it’s also amazing in skincare.

What is Manuka honey?
Manuka honey comes from bees that collect nectar from the Manuka plant (Leptospermum scoparium) native to New Zealand. It contains a compound called methylglyoxal (MGO), which gives it strong antibacterial, antimicrobial, antiseptic, and anti-inflammatory properties. Those traits make it especially useful for soothing dry, sensitive, or acne-prone skin.

Why use Manuka honey for skin?
– Reduces breakouts: Its antibacterial and antimicrobial qualities help fight the bacteria that cause acne.
– Calms redness: The anti-inflammatory and healing effects can soothe irritated or sensitive skin and support cell turnover for healthier skin.
– Hydrates: Honey draws in and locks moisture, helping skin feel softer and more hydrated.
– Brightens: Natural enzymes gently exfoliate, removing dead skin cells to reveal fresher, brighter skin.

DIY Moisturizing Honey Face Mask
This mask is great for dry, acne-prone, or aging skin. Manuka honey soothes and hydrates while its healing properties support skin recovery. Oat flour gently exfoliates to remove dry, dull skin. If you have vitamin C powder, it’s a nice optional boost for brightening. Lavender adds a light scent and calming benefits, and rose hip seed oil can help renew skin and provide antioxidant support.

Use once or twice a week for a little extra skincare TLC.

Ingredients:
– 1 Tbsp oat flour (or grind oats in a blender/food processor)
– 1 Tbsp Manuka honey
– 1/2 tsp vitamin C crystals (optional)
– 2 drops lavender essential oil (optional)
– 1 drop rose hip seed oil (optional)

Mix all ingredients until well combined.

To use:
– Start with clean skin.
– On damp skin, gently massage the mask in circular motions, avoiding the eye area.
– Leave on for 5–10 minutes.
– Rinse off with warm water and a clean washcloth.
– Follow with your favorite toner and moisturizer.

Note: Vitamin C can increase sun sensitivity, so be sure to wear sunscreen.

Have you tried this mask yet? I’d love to hear how it worked for you.

Did you know Botox is the most popular cosmetic procedure in the U.S.? I’m excited to share my Botox experience and answer common questions about what it is, how it works, and why you might consider it. I’ve posted lots of before-and-after photos, and every time I mention Botox on Instagram I get tons of questions—so here are all the details!

Where to go and who should inject you
One of the most important decisions is choosing a qualified facility and injector. Do your research and pick a place that follows best practices and uses well-trained nurse practitioners. I’ve had Botox several times at REJUV AVE. in Fenton, Michigan. The clinic is beautiful, clean, the staff trains regularly, and their customer service is excellent. If you’re in Michigan, I highly recommend them.

Botox Basics: Before-and-After Photos Included

What they do at REJUV AVE.
REJUV AVE. takes time to assess your skin and goals. They use VISIA Skin Analysis, which looks about 3mm beneath the skin to reveal issues like pigmentation, pore size, bacteria, sun damage, texture, and wrinkles. VISIA also estimates your “TruSkin” age and helps build a personalized skincare plan based on your results. It’s useful because you can track improvements over time.

What to expect at your appointment
During the consultation you’ll talk about your concerns and where you’d like Botox. I was asked to make expressions (smile, surprise, scowl) so the injector could see the lines I wanted treated. They marked the injection points and then did the injections. The whole visit was quick—under 30 minutes from start to finish.

(Note: my skin looks red in some photos because I had an IPL treatment before my Botox.)

How Botox works
Botox contains onabotulinumtoxinA, a neurotoxin that relaxes the small facial muscles that cause expression lines. By reducing muscle activity, Botox prevents existing lines from getting worse and can be used preventatively.

How soon will I see results?
Some people notice changes in a few days, but it can take up to two weeks to see the full results. On average, expect to see the final effect about 10–14 days after treatment.

How long does Botox last?
Results usually last about three to four months.

How much does Botox cost?
At REJUV AVE. Botox currently costs $13 per unit. The number of units you need depends on the areas treated.

Is Botox safe? What are the risks?
Botox has been used for over 30 years and millions of treatments are done each year. It’s very safe when performed by a trained injector. Side effects are usually minimal, and experienced providers greatly reduce the chance of issues like an overly “frozen” look.

Before and after results
I’ve shared before-and-after photos that show a big reduction in my crow’s feet and forehead lines. My results look natural but make a noticeable difference—especially on my forehead, crow’s feet, and the area between my brows (the glabellar or “frown” lines). I used about 35 units to treat those areas.

Where can Botox be used?
Botox can treat wrinkles and expression lines on the face, neck, or even some body areas. It relaxes muscles that cause frowning, squinting, eyebrow raising, and other expressions. Common treatment areas include:
– Forehead lines
– Drooping brows
– Glabellar (“frown”) lines
– Crow’s feet
– Nasalis (“bunny”) lines
– Lip flip (turned-in upper lip)
– Gummy smile
– Dimpled chin
– Overdeveloped masseter muscle
– Platysmal bands

Does Botox hurt?
Injections are generally not painful. You may feel slight pressure or a small pinch, but it’s usually very tolerable—even if you’re not a fan of needles.

Will I bruise?
Some bruising is possible. I take arnica for several days before and after treatments and it helps reduce bruising. When I do bruise it’s usually mild and easy to cover with makeup. I recommend getting Botox a few weeks before any big event so there’s time for full results and any bruising to fade.

If you’re in Southeast Michigan and looking for a med spa, I highly recommend REJUV AVE. I’ve been going there for years for laser treatments, Botox, and Hydrafacials, and I love their staff. Follow their social media for giveaways and promotions.

Disclosure: I received complimentary services at REJUV AVE.

I’m so happy it’s finally fall! I love the season — the fashion, the cooler weather, and the chance to refresh my wardrobe and try new looks. With the kids back in school, I have a little more time for myself, and the crisp air always gives me energy. Fall is my favorite time to practice a little self-care before the holiday rush. For me, a few things always help me feel my best: comfortable shoes, clothes that fit well, clear vision, and confidence.

Embrace Fall: Makeovers & Takeovers

Here are a few new products I’ve been loving that are perfect for a seasonal refresh:

Earth Brand Shoes
I’ve owned several pairs of Earth shoes and haven’t been disappointed. This season I picked up the Sparta Boots in cinnamon — they’re the ideal boot for leggings and skinny jeans. The color is beautiful and they’re incredibly comfortable. If shoes aren’t comfortable, I won’t wear them, no matter how cute they are — these passed that test easily. The side zipper makes them simple to put on and take off, and the soft leather lining adds extra comfort. Plus, Earth Brand donates a tree through Trees.org for every pair purchased.

Maidenform Sexy Shapewear Strapless Convertible Body Briefer
This arrived at the perfect time. Lingerie that fits well and feels good really finishes an outfit. The Maidenform strapless convertible body briefer smooths my tummy and waist and helps create an hourglass shape. I wore it under a fitted spaghetti-strap jumper (it comes with removable and convertible straps, which is great for different outfits) and it was so flattering. It stayed in place, gently cinched everything in, and the push-up pads were a nice bonus.

Aveo Hello
I’ve worn contacts for nearly 20 years, and they can get expensive. While I enjoy wearing glasses sometimes, contacts work better for my active lifestyle. I recently tried Aveo Hello, a monthly contact lens subscription, and I love how easy and affordable it is. It costs less than $1 a day and includes free shipping. Their lenses offer clear HD vision, all-day hydration, and UV protection. Getting started is simple — you can use your current prescription or get a new one using your smartphone. Right now you can get your first month free (30 pairs of lenses). Visit their website for details.

Summer’s Eve: Lavender + Chamomile Cleansing Wash and Coconut Water Cleansing Cloths
With cool mornings and hot afternoons during this Indian summer, I’ve been leaning on these products to feel fresh. The Lavender + Chamomile Cleansing Wash smells great and is perfect after a run or a tough yoga session. The scent is relaxing, the formula is gentle, and it doesn’t leave any residue. When a shower isn’t possible, the individually wrapped Coconut Water cleansing cloths are perfect for my purse, carry-on, or gym bag. They help me feel confident while I’m running from one thing to the next — which is key when you’re trying a new look.

This post is sponsored by Burt’s Bees, but the thoughts and opinions are my own.

Spring always lifts my mood and prompts me to declutter, organize, and refresh different parts of my life. One of my favorite things to update is my makeup. I love swapping out old products for fresh spring shades and lightweight formulas.

Quick 5-Minute Natural Makeup for a Fresh Spring Look

On my last Walmart run I picked up some new Burt’s Bees makeup. I’ve long liked Burt’s Bees (I’ve written about other favorites before) because they focus on natural, skin-nourishing ingredients. Their products are free of phthalates, parabens, petrolatum, and SLS, and they’re Leaping Bunny certified—no animal testing.

They have a new line I’m really enjoying. The formulas are hydrating and creamy, and the shades feel fresh and wearable. I prefer a natural, less-is-more look, and these products are great for enhancing your features without looking heavy. I’ve been testing a few items and wanted to share a quick, five-minute clean-beauty routine that’s perfect for spring. It gives a dewy, everyday glow with just enough color and highlight.

All the Burt’s Bees items I’m talking about are packed with skin-loving ingredients to hydrate and nourish. My skin has changed over the years—hello, fine lines—and I often deal with dryness, so I was thrilled to try the new cream Color Nurture eyeshadow and cream blush. Cream products work really well for mature or dry skin: they apply smoothly, don’t cake, and don’t emphasize lines. Plus, they have a light, pleasant scent.

Burt’s Bees Color Nurture Cream Blush
I tried Guava Meringue (it comes in two other shades) and it’s fantastic. The formula is easy to use, blendable, and buildable, so you can get a subtle flush or a stronger pop of color. It sets nicely and feels moisturizing. I apply it with my fingers, dabbing on the apples of my cheeks and blending upward in circular motions, but a domed buff brush works well too.

Burt’s Bees Color Nurture Cream Eye Shadow
This cream eyeshadow comes in three shimmery nude shades and is simple to apply with your fingertips. It’s great for an all-over lid color and can be layered for more intensity. I also like using the Caramel Buttercream shade to highlight my cupid’s bow for a little extra lift.

Burt’s Bees Squeezy Tinted Balm
This is one of my top picks. The Squeezy Sweet Peach smells and tastes delicious, and the shade flatters many skin tones while giving a glossy finish. It contains responsibly sourced beeswax and cocoa butter to keep lips hydrated and shiny. I’ll definitely try the other colors and flavors.

Burt’s Bees All Aflutter Volumizing Mascara
This mascara is gentle enough for sensitive eyes. The lightweight formula applies smoothly without clumping, even with two or three coats, and it wears well through the day without much flaking.

You can find these new Burt’s Bees products at Walmart or on Walmart.com. They’re a lovely way to refresh your routine for a natural, fresh-faced warm-weather look.

Do you switch up your makeup when the seasons change?
